I am trying something new here…bear with me. I get invited to a lot of lovely local Denver, CO events and get lots of  news that is, probably, only interesting to local readers. Statistics on this blog tell me a lot of readers are in Colorado though. I have hesitated putting up hyper local info on this blog just because there are others that do it much better: Mile High Mamas, Colorado Moms and Denver Parent to name a few. What I am thinking is starting a weekly post that is a round-up of what is going on in our area and any rambling thoughts related to it. Good idea? Let’s try it a bit and see how it work.

Starting off in this weeks line up headlines:

Broncos QB brings new meaning to the word “He dropped the ball”.

Last nights game against the Raiders ended 23-20 in favor of Oakland. It was an ugly game. The fighting between the teams started less than 2 minutes in. Some pushing and shoving is expected, but down right fist fights are just stupid to watch. I know you expect a few with the Raiders but really, it got old, fast. Speaking of old, fast, why didn’t they just paint the field yellow? Every time you looked at the field all you could see was yellow flags! It brought the game from Monday Night Football to Tuesday Morning Overkill.  And Orton? Oh, what to say……well, let me first officially clarify that I am not an Orton hater. Nor am I an Orton fan. He is fine. For now. Even though I am a Tebow fan, I recognize he isn’t ready. And lets be honest, the Raiders would be eating Timmy for Tuesday morning breakfast. Do I want to see Tebow play? Sure. The argument that Orton gives us the best chance to win doesn’t hold water when we don’t win anyway. But for right now, I think if Orton is going to be our QB1 than we ought to support him. The chanting for Tebow last night was uncalled for and certainly isn’t going to make the Broncos play Tim more. Get behind Orton and realize whether you like him or not, out of 3 QB’s he has the most experience. Let the other 2 learn from him.

Barb – Love the roundup. I’m going to try for the Rodizio thing but it’s tough since it’s on a Monday evening. Thanks for including the link to my Circus ticket giveaway.

A Bit About Me…

I truly love the wonderful chaos of motherhood, but as my kids grew, I started craving a different kind of pace and a sense of calm I couldn't quite find.

Moving to the coast, which is my happy place, really changed how I live the day to day. Now, I just try to bring more calm into our days, even though they're still pretty busy.

It's not about making life perfect. It's just finding some balance and little bits of peace in the middle of the happy hustle, letting the salt air work its magic on the chaos.

Knock, Knock! Anyone home?

I no longer participate in PR campaigns of any type. I consider this blog to be in retirement but here for anyone who would like to read. I started this journey in 1998 with a company I named “Chaotic Communications”. I am so happy to have lost that chaotic feeling. Today I have rebranded that life and work to simply “Indigo Ink“. You can click that link to find my latest projects.
