How To Make Pumpkin Spice Room Spray:

Add to a (affiliate link) glass, stainless steel or aluminum spray bottle (you can find these at health food stores, Amazon or www.abundanthealth4u.com). You can also learn how to make your own DIY Glass Spray Bottle here.

  • 4 oz distilled water (don’t use filtered tap unless you are going to use the whole thing within a few days)
  • 10 drops cinnamon essential oil (get 24% off Young Living Oils here)
  • 8 drops nutmeg essential oil
  • 8 drops ginger essential oil
  • 8 drops cloves essential oil
  • 5 drops orange essential oil
  • 3 drops cardamon essential oil
  • 2 tsp epsom salt (alternatively you can do 2 oz distilled water to 2 oz organic witch hazel)

If you are using epsom salts instead of witch hazel place the salts in a small glass and add all the oils to the salts and then add the salt to the water. Spray throughout the house as you would like. Enjoy!

Sounds wonderful! Other room spray recipes include salt or witch hazel to help the oils mix with the water. How does this one work with just water?

Hmmm. Interesting. I have never mixed salt or witch hazel in any of mine. I make sleepy spray all the time with water and Lavender and have never had an issue with it not mixing in the spray bottle. I mean I know oil and water don’t mix but it comes out of the spray nozzle in a mist that is mixed.

I heard someone say that the epsom salt, or other salt, helps to keep the oils mixed together. I would rather leave it out and just shake before using it. I make a Thieves & Lemon Room Spray with just the oils and distilled water, and it works wonderfully.

A Bit About Me…

I truly love the wonderful chaos of motherhood, but as my kids grew, I started craving a different kind of pace and a sense of calm I couldn't quite find.

Moving to the coast, which is my happy place, really changed how I live the day to day. Now, I just try to bring more calm into our days, even though they're still pretty busy.

It's not about making life perfect. It's just finding some balance and little bits of peace in the middle of the happy hustle, letting the salt air work its magic on the chaos.

Knock, Knock! Anyone home?

I no longer participate in PR campaigns of any type. I consider this blog to be in retirement but here for anyone who would like to read. I started this journey in 1998 with a company I named “Chaotic Communications”. I am so happy to have lost that chaotic feeling. Today I have rebranded that life and work to simply “Indigo Ink“.
