I hosted a Make and Take craft party at my home this weekend, inviting friends to create easy crafts while enjoying each other’s company. One of the most popular projects was the DIY Lavender Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap that I designed. Here’s how to make it.

- 1 Square https://geni.us/uNVHcppSilicone Mold
- 2-1 ounce goats milk soap base
- 1 tsp lavender buds (you will have a lot left over if you buy this 1 lb bag. It seemed like the best deal to me)
- 5-8 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Melt 2 ounces of soap base in pyrex container on 50% power for 30 seconds in the microwave. Add remaining ingredients in the order above. Pour into silicone mold and let cool. Pop out when cool and hard.
The above makes one bar of soap so multiply as necessary to fill your molds. Some of the ladies at the party used Peppermint Essential Oil instead of Lavender and those came out lovely as well. Play with it.

I really like this idea but would like a liquid,… any way you know how to do this?
I think the oatmeal would clog most liquid pumps.
I have done a few bars using lavender buds and they looked exactly like yours. I used it during shower for my body and face as the ingredients i put were jojoba oil, vco and vitamin e and they are good for skin but my skin became so dry and itchy. Do you have any idea why? I’ve been thinking that is because of the lavender buds in the soap. Probably because the lavender buds are rotten and cant last longer.
How long until you can use it? Just a few hours until it has hardened and cooled? Love your recipes!!! Huge new fan & follower! God Bless!
About an hour. Thank you. What a nice compliment!
