I live for summer. Me and the heat? Best buds!

Oh summer how I have missed you! I am taking off quite a bit of time this summer, relaxing, hanging out, eating well, sitting outside soaking up some much needed vitamin D. We have been through a year of hell around here and I just want some lazy long days of nothingness and everythingness rolled into one.

My promise to myself is that I will only blog from my iPad. Which is much, much harder for me than the laptop. This will force me to keep it short and sweet. I can’t figure out how to caption out my photos from here. But that poor little hanging strawberry is just so sad looking.

I have been kicking off the summer planting, much later this year than in the past and I am keeping all the veggies in containers. The spring just was not as good to me with time as I would have liked.

Here is a sneak peek at what is going on over at my house. Hope your summer is kicking off as beautifully as mine.

Thanks! It is too big for this tree right now but it is from my moms old house. The tree will grow into it ๐Ÿ™‚

The flowers are for the bike. But like i said I can’t figure out how to comment my photos on this thing. Lol

Okay, I’m not a fan of the super hot weather, but I agree it’s time for summer! And relaxing. I totally love relaxing.

Your planting is looking gorg! I can’t wait to see what that bicycle looks like all planted up!

I LOVE that tree face! I’m thinking of painting a heart on one of our giant trees (when the husband isn’t home to catch me. Sneaky, Sneaky)

I’m already hot and have killed some flowers and basil.

But I’m loving sitting on the patio drinking wine and reading books!

    Have a great summer!

A Bit About Me…

I truly love the wonderful chaos of motherhood, but as my kids grew, I started craving a different kind of pace and a sense of calm I couldn't quite find.

Moving to the coast, which is my happy place, really changed how I live the day to day. Now, I just try to bring more calm into our days, even though they're still pretty busy.

It's not about making life perfect. It's just finding some balance and little bits of peace in the middle of the happy hustle, letting the salt air work its magic on the chaos.

Knock, Knock! Anyone home?

I no longer participate in PR campaigns of any type. I consider this blog to be in retirement but here for anyone who would like to read. I started this journey in 1998 with a company I named “Chaotic Communications”. I am so happy to have lost that chaotic feeling. Today I have rebranded that life and work to simply “Indigo Ink“. You can click that link to find my latest projects.
