DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub

November 12, 2015 by barb

Love this DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub recipe. Making this recipe for all my holiday gifts.

I love sugar scrubs but I hate paying $15 for them! And really? It is absolute nonsense to do so. They are SO easy to make. This DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub will take you about 5 mins to mix up, uses just three main ingredients and is the PERFECT gift for the holidays! DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub Ingredients: (contains affiliate links) 1 jar-I used a 4"Dia. x 4"H red clamp lid glass canister from Cost Plus World Market. The measuring spoons are adorable but certainly not essential. You can get them here. 2 cups RAW Sugar-I used the brand Sugar in the Raw 3/4 cup FRACTIONATED Coconut Oil-this is the kind stable in the liquid form. 20 drops Peppermint Essential Oil OR 1 tbsp Peppermint Extract. I personally think the essential oil produces a better product. DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub Directions: Add sugar to jar Add oil to jar Add your Peppermint oil or extract to jar Stir well Seal and decorate jar. Add a ribbon and one of these adorable Christmas printable tags from my friend Jen Viola! I am guessing one of the most easy-peasy gifts you have ever made. Looking for more DIY Holiday Gift Ideas? Apps For Oil Users

November 1, 2015 by barb

These apps for oil users look great. I really need a better way to keep all my oily stuff organized on my phone.

Are you an oil freak like me? Can't stand to be out of touch with ways to use your oils or manage your oily business? These apps for oil users will help you keep on oiling while you are on the go. Ref Guide for Essential Oils This app works equally as well for both  Apple and Android. It's made by Abundant Health and closely mimics the information provided in the Essential Oils Pocket Reference book. While the book is a bit awkward to carry around with you this app makes it perfect for you to look up anything you need to know about your oils while you are on the soccer field. I really like that you can look up specific symptoms and find oils that may help. Very well organized and easy to use. Worth the price especially if you are choosing this over a book! I really love this because if I am especially busy (and what working mom isn't?) and someone asks me an oily question that I need to research I can look it up here and send a quick screenshot to answer the question.   Essential Oil Go-To Guide I have not had a lot of time to play with this one but it made quite an impression on people at Convention this summer as it's arrival has been anxiously awaited. The big ...

A Bit About Me…

I truly love the wonderful chaos of motherhood, but as my kids grew, I started craving a different kind of pace and a sense of calm I couldn't quite find.

Moving to the coast, which is my happy place, really changed how I live the day to day. Now, I just try to bring more calm into our days, even though they're still pretty busy.

It's not about making life perfect. It's just finding some balance and little bits of peace in the middle of the happy hustle, letting the salt air work its magic on the chaos.

Knock, Knock! Anyone home?

I no longer participate in PR campaigns of any type. I consider this blog to be in retirement but here for anyone who would like to read. I started this journey in 1998 with a company I named “Chaotic Communications”. I am so happy to have lost that chaotic feeling. Today I have rebranded that life and work to simply “Indigo Ink“.
